Julian Barnes -Il senso di una fine
Tony Webster is a man without qualities.
In studies and work, in feelings and, you can bet on it, even in sex.
But the letter from a lawyer announcing a legacy of five hundred pounds and a diary from the past shakes the murky depths of his existence. (einaudi.it)

«Our life is not our life, but only the story we have told about it» JB "The Sense of an Ending"

The novel was adapted into a film in 2017, titled in Italian for some reason “L'altra metà della storia” with Charlotte Rampling. more
Fear
Sooner or later I will bury the snobby prog with "I Don't Care About You" playing in the background. What an absurd masterpiece "The Record" is, one of the best hardcore punk albums in history. more
Cream -Live Cream
a record that adds nothing to the greatness of the band, slightly inferior in my opinion to the live of wheels of fire more
Michael Ende -La storia infinita
Bastiano Baldassarre Bucci is a ten or eleven-year-old boy who, after his mother's death, can no longer communicate with his father and has withdrawn into himself, finding refuge in reading and fantastic stories. At school, he is a solitary type who is teased and bullied by his classmates. One day, fleeing yet another persecution, he finds shelter in the antique bookstore of Mr. Carlo Corrado Coriandoli. The man was reading a mysterious book titled La storia infinita. Bastiano is immediately drawn to the tome, as he has always wanted to read a never-ending story, so when the store's phone rings and Mr. Coriandoli leaves the room, he steals the book and flees to the attic of his school. Here, he begins to read La storia infinita. (wiki) more
Bob Seger -Against The Wind
a highly successful album in the USA, Seger at the height of his fame. more
Bruce Springsteen -Nebraska
Springsteen tells the America of contradictions, of failures in a beautiful acoustic album. more
Fabio Concato -Voilà: Concato live
beautiful live performance by a too-underestimated singer-songwriter more
Blaze Bayley -Promise And Terror
The most emotionally charged album by Blaze. After the loss of his wife, what emerges is a destroyed, discouraged man, yet unfazed by it, he carries on. The sounds are reminiscent of Blood & Belief from 2004, as well as the same state of mind that can be felt while listening, but it results in more mature songwriting and sometimes lengthy songs that reveal facets of Bayley that had not yet surfaced. God Of Speed, Faceless, 1633, and City Of Bones are, in the opinion of the writer, the best. more
Stromae -Racine Carrèe
Well, I didn’t quite get what kind of music it is. more
Mina -20 successi di Mina
the best Mina in the collection from the first record label more
The Rolling Stones -Let It Bleed
direct, essential, very rock, very beautiful! more
Alberto Camerini
Listening to his early works allows one to rediscover a talented singer-songwriter and an excellent guitarist. Those who know him only for the electronic Harlequin would do well to listen to albums like "Cenerentola e il pane quotidiano" or "Gelato metropolitano". more
The Pogues -Hell's Ditch
I would say that the best has already been heard, although it remains a truly respectable album. more
