like Frank Zappa, or maybe even more; the greatest musical genius in the history of rock, and in my view the most important figure in 20th-century music. He would deserve eternal glory just for the three (huge) bands he formed, but Albini is absolutely not just this. He did not influence the music of the '80s and '90s; he IS the music of those years. In a few years (when heās already gone), everyone will realize this, and he will be idolized like Ludwig van Beethoven. Praise to Albini.
