When black metal becomes poetry. Lyrics about nature and others drawn from the poems of the Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko, set to icy guitar notes that are as passionate as they are emotionally destructive. A flood of emotions. Annihilating in their poignant poetry. Probably, the best atmospheric black metal band of all time. more

They have all the merits of Heavy Metal without any of its flaws. more
a band different in their genre... they certainly don't lack ferocity and power, but they add a (musical) motif that is anything but obvious and absolutely distinct from other bands in the extreme metal field... they are among the most "extreme" in the genre... more
the connection between completely different genres, from hardcore to progressive, from grind to jazz... is pure nonchalance in this band... more

Hey Reverse, what did George Everest do wrong? Or, alternatively, what merit should we particularly ascribe to William McKinley? Because, after all, the original toponymy of the latter massif (Denali) is much more unambiguous than that of the Himalayan peaks ; ) (P.S.: the band briefly mentioned here, on the other hand, does not require any particular ascription, at most a little derision). more

In the end, two great pop albums (the first two), and a few beautiful songs scattered throughout the career. It's a bit little, though, in the end, compared to how they're regarded. more
Den Vlaams, the comparison doesn't do justice. McKinley is the mountain with the greatest prominence after Chomolangma (because I call Everest by its TRUE name) and is also one of the most technically challenging; whether for the steepness of the walls or for the latitude (almost polar temperatures). PS- And you're right, Purpulan. Denali, Denali. more
