Strummer/Jones are right behind the unreachable Lennon/McCartney. I don't listen to them often, but they were geniuses. Among the first punk bands to achieve success, certainly the first to go beyond the confines of very repetitive music. They had the courage to take that step that the Sex Pistols didn't have time to take and that the Ramones never did. more
