He was a Roman emperor who, in his brief reign, fused the ideas of empire, freedom, and peace, beginning a century later regarded as golden. As soon as he was elected, he ended the persecutions against Christians, allowed exiles to return to Rome, abolished trials for treason, reinstated the Senate in its prerogatives, and generously used his lands and wealth to help the poor. Amidst his labors, he found the time to record an EP, but the tapes have arrived in our days rather damaged.
