In the world of prog, they are the exact opposite of Emerson Lake & Palmer: the histrionic trio made the most of a few ideas, stretching them to the unbelievable, resulting in dullness and repetition but with plenty of "staging" to distract. The Camel are the opposite, full of musical ideas even within the same piece, but ultimately not very "clever." They share dreamy atmospheres with the Canterbury scene, but manage to explore other musical territories! more
