Good but not exceptional. Until Love Over Gold, they were a good rock band with never intrusive virtuosity, beautiful melodies, and lyrics that were as simple as they were effective. It’s a shame that in the last 2 albums they filled themselves with session musicians beyond all divine grace and became a way too grown-up pub band, as well as a delight for the well-off of all ages.
