Francesco Guccini -Via Paolo Fabbri 43
"The Poisoned," "Almost a Love Song," and "The Retiree," oh dear. more
Enzo Avitabile -Black tarantella
Something unrepeatable like having Guccio sing in "Gerardo nuvola 'e povere" or David Crosby in "E a maronn' accumparett' in Africa." Superlative. more
Roberto Benigni
Peter Pan exists, and he's a communist! more
Rino Gaetano -Resta vile maschio, dove vai?
Maybe the only one a bit lackluster, but it still remains more than good. Average 3.5 that I round up to 4 out of fondness. more
Gang -Fuori dal Controllo
How can you not love the Severini brothers? A straightforward and powerful album. No frills. Sometimes that's what you need. more
Radiodervish -Lingua Contro Lingua
Italian-Palestinian group. Actually, Bari-Palestinian. An album full of sounds with Nabil, whose voice is warm and penetrating. When you listen to it, you travel without moving. more
Giorgio Gaber -Il Teatro Canzone
Gaber in the theater. The season is 1991/1992. With his faithful Luporini, songs like boulders: "L'illogica allegria," "Il dilemma," "Le elezioni," "Far finta di essere sani." more
Giorgio Gaber -Libertà obbligatoria
Gaber in theater. The season is 1976/1977. The texts are written with Sandro Luporini. "The triumphant advance of the American model," the two write, which has rendered the flattening of man in his freedom (mandatory). more
Nomadi -Lungo le vie del vento
Second album after Augusto remembered in the track that opens the album. "Il tavolino" and "Il saggio" are embarrassing. more
Claudio Lolli -La scoperta dell'America
I don't know if it's the "least successful" album, but in "Il secondo sogno" it describes the people of Bologna like no one else ever has... more
Claudio Lolli -Intermittenze del cuore
Another beautiful semi-unknown album that contains numerous gems: "I musicisti di Ciampi," "Curva sud," "Ignazio," and "Ulisse." more
Mauro Pagani
Excellent and versatile musician/multi-instrumentalist. Amazing with Faber in "Creuza de ma," even more of a giant with PFM. more
Litfiba -Mondi Sommersi
"Drop by drop," "Shoot me," and "Doctor M." are saved. For the rest, the downward spiral continues sadly. more

Francesco De Gregori -Calypsos - 9 canzoni nuove
It's nice to see artists who, after 50, are still able to produce excellent work. Great album, but in the 2000s I find "Amore nel pomeriggio," "Pezzi," and "Per brevità chiamato artista" on a slightly higher level. Rating: 4 right balls. more
Ho visto anche degli zingari felici
They are indefinable because they speak of humanity. I’m lucky to have inherited the 33s along with the dschi of Fortis from the sister of my mime boyfriend, who I never understood why she was getting rid of them. I was there, so besides some by Bowie, Sylvian, and even the Culture Club—when they were still hand-pressing the LP numbers on the vinyl next to the paper—it was cool.... They’re duplicates, but back then the Italian VBirgin had the double underlining in zigzag while the German one didn’t; they are “different presses.” At that time, they were still making them in West Germany. I jealously guard these duplicates. I have the Swiss and/or German editions now (now?!... this happened about 20 years ago). I even have the Italian editions of some records. Anyway, it’s not that I’ve listened to Lolli a lot, so I wouldn’t even know how to define it... I inherited it; it’s there in a box since I’m also trying to get rid of it, in fact, I’m already dismantling one of my setups. more

...I can't stand Russian choirs, FAKE ROCK MUSIC, Italian new wave, free jazz, English punk...HERE.

Unbearable fake rock, a completely off-key voice (listen to it live), a mediocre and watered-down pop production that tries to pass itself off as Italian rock with a few screams and big guitars... unthinkable lyrics, irritating music, millions to spare and even tax evasion... I've never found anything of value, starting from California '78, a blatant rip-off of a Who song... a series of banality, personal opinion of course, I know it has many admirers... to earn (and evade) millions of euros it must have plenty... Italy is really America for some. more
