Litfiba -Elettromacumba
Heard today, for the first time, in its entirety. There's no need for me to express myself; the vote speaks for itself. more
Pino Daniele -Bella 'Mbriana
Spectacular record, perhaps among his earliest works it remains the most "international" of all musically speaking. Yes, indeed, it's "Tutta 'nata storia". more
Ivan Graziani
So perfect that it can be sung even without a guitar (without instruments) and still grasp the greatness of the compositions (melodies, openings, ideas). A special paradox, as the guitar in his songs represents a beautiful slice of the whole. The quintessential rock singer-songwriter, never glossy. more
Io per lei
"God bless you" 2.0. Just, if possible, even more bland and annoying. more
Niccolò Fabi
He tells life with a poetry and elegance that are rarely found in modern music. But it's not just the strength of the lyrics; behind them lies a musical and life journey in an unstoppable crescendo. Attend his concerts, always thrilling. Perhaps you'll be lucky enough to see him accompanied by Angelini, Pier Cortese, and the violinist Di Cesare. He may not have released five-star albums, but the consistent quality from Cura del tempo onward, along with the added value of his live performances, leads me to lean towards the highest rating. more
Fairport Convention -What We Did on Our Holidays
There are songs destined for eternity (like Meet on the Ledge, Book Song, Tale in Hard Time, and especially Fotheringay), songs masterfully interpreted by others (Eastern Rain and I'll Keep it With Mine), and finally, there is already great ease in "handling" the traditionals ("Nottamun Town" first and foremost). 5 stars without hesitation. more
Art of Noise -Who's Afraid Of The Art Of Noise?
They may have chosen the name somewhat randomly, but when this album was released, it was truly the most futuristic thing the general public had ever heard. more
Ivan Graziani -Piknic
FUCKING HELL. I've been listening to this all day and I can't take it anymore, this album is truly a (half) disaster. Are we perhaps at Ivan's lowest point, a continuous rant that barely manages to finish a single listen? Well, the first 5 tracks are actually okay: Sola is a good start, catchy enough and musically brilliant, Ed è felicità has a nice rhythm and a text with some kick even if it doesn't hit the mark completely, La mia isola (as well as Evviva Vivì) is the best of the bunch and brings the guitar to the forefront. Because in the end, the real problem of this album isn't the excessive electronics, which, while annoying, Ivan manages to turn into a strength by combining it with his guitar arpeggios, but rather the inspiration of the songs, which in some cases goes practically to absolute zero: Soffice and Ho paura dei temporali have badly written lyrics, and it's not about throwing shade on Ivan (which is something I would rather avoid) but the fact that these two tracks are really written just to fill space, and it's a shame because the arrangements had some nice guitar play. However, the medal for the most disgusting piece goes rightfully to Baby love, where Ivan reaches the songwriting level of any random Biagio Antonacci. I... don’t know what to say, half of the album is well put together even if with a few too many trendy bends, the other half is a total disaster, thrown in just for the runtime. more
Bring Me the Horizon
In my opinion, Bring Me the Horizon are one of the most important bands around. They have demonstrated their ability to span different genres and have also revolutionized the way metal is made with their two most successful albums, "There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret" and "Sempiternal," two albums that are truly well done with incredible arrangements. Unfortunately, not everyone understands their real importance; I get that the genre might not appeal to everyone, but saying "a group for kids, they've ruined music blah blah" is quite different. In my opinion, those who write such things don't really understand music, or they're old folks who only like "true metal." I'm sorry to disappoint these people, but it's not just Metallica and Megadeth, and times change. So for me, they are an excellent band, with a few songs that are a bit underwhelming, but overall, they are really talented artists who know how to make music. more
Lucio Battisti -La Sposa Occidentale
For me, it is a wonderful album, with peaks of rare expressive power and a union between lyrics and music that reaches its apex in tracks like the opener "Tu non ti pungi più," "Potrebbe essere sera," and the masterpiece among masterpieces: "I ritorni," an absolute wonder, listen to believe... "Amarsi è questo: escludere d'essere i soli al mondo,
I soli ad esser soli amando, sterminandola l'invincibile armata." more

Leon Russell
Immense. I admit I got to know him through Elton's The Union in 2010. But I promise to get to know him better. more
Alessandra Amoroso
Go dance reggae on the beach, but please, don't sing! more
Bruce Springsteen
Honest singer-songwriter who has done good things in the past, great performer with amazing musicians. Overall, I believe he is a bit overrated, though. Over the years, he has had the flaw of repeating himself and self-plagiarizing. more
Miles Davis -Dark Magus
An incredibly immersive chaos. Among the best jazz albums ever released and first among all-time noise albums. more
Mike Oldfield -Tubular Bells
TATATATATATA TAH TAH (even just the ending is worth 5 or 6 other albums) more
Mike Oldfield -Ommadawn
