A martial and epic work unlike anything Overkill had done up to this point. It transitions from the lightning-fast speed of tracks like "Elimination" and "Evil Never Dies" to the dark and doom-oriented atmospheres of songs such as "Playing With Spiders" and the title track. Noteworthy is a D.D. Verni at his peak, one of the most underrated bassists in the entire metal scene. A fundamental album in their career, a culmination of a certain way of doing thrash. As far as I'm concerned, one of the essential works. more

I don’t know, despite all the criticism, I’ve always liked this album... quite a bit actually. I’ve never understood what the hell it has to do with that baroque mess of Sgt. Pepper's, since it's always described as the ugly copy (?) of it... An excellent and a bit ramshackle psych/baroque pop/blues bacchanal... 4.5, fuck off! more

So, on the surface, it really pisses me off. But whoever gave a 1 to Venditti OBVIOUSLY has never listened to "Roma capoccia": the love declaration to the most beautiful and passionate city that I have ever heard, it gives me goosebumps every time and I’m not even Roman. And he also wrote the most beautiful anthem for a football team ever ("you'll never walk alone", just to say, it doesn’t even compare. And it wasn't even specifically written for Liverpool).
