Ivan Graziani -Malelingue
Reevaluated. An album that you might listen to once and appreciate a lot... but after a few months of not hearing it, you struggle to remember a good part of the tracks. To give you an idea, I first listened to it in July 2020, and after almost a year of not listening to it entirely, I can only recall four songs; the rest is a blank slate. The inspiration is there, but unfortunately, it’s not as memorable as the self-titled album or Ivangarage, nor is it on the level of Ballata and Seni e coseni. It's certainly a well-crafted work, but it doesn't deserve more than 3.5 stars. more
Radiohead
"We need to listen to Radiohead when we feel down, when we have suffered to the limits of endurance and our entire life aches like a single burning wound, when we breathe despair and we are dead from a thousand hopeless deaths." more

Dire Straits
The first four albums remain four masterpieces, still great (though slightly inferior) the next two. And Knopfler remains one of the greatest guitarists of all time. more

Italian punk icons? Please... I've always found them banal and tremendously repetitive. Acido Acida remains in the top 10 of the most annoying songs in history. more

Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti
I believe that "Irata" is among the most beautiful songs ever, and not just in Italian. Three albums of the highest level, plus what is probably (I dare say) the most beautiful live performance in Italian music: "La terra, la guerra, una questione privata." A band that is much more mature and refined compared to their already excellent previous incarnation. "One must be attentive in order to be master of oneself, one must be attentive..." more

A true legend, among the greatest directors of all time, sometimes underestimated because the average masses prefer those abominations churned out by the son... more
Gino D'Eliso
Prog-rock debut with Il mare and then "sovereign of Central European rock" with the three that followed. The peak in Cattivi pensieri. A great character, he deserved more. Even in the later period, he wrote significant works, albeit as an independent artist. To be (re)evaluated. more
David Gilmour
The solo in "Comfortably Numb" from "Live At Pompeii" is THE SOLO. more
Carcass -Despicable
Okay, it may not be perfect, I admit this, but aside from the overly clean sound, which is what you'd expect from "Heartwork," I wasn't expecting to hear another "Symphonies of Sickness" (that would be nice) or the dirty and crazy sound of "Reek of Putrefaction" (pure genius madness). Come on, let's be serious, the Carcass are different now, but I still feel like they're in great shape. Damn, just listen to that succession of riffs from the infernal circle, seriously, they’re still the best. The new blood is light years away from them. We better cherish the carcass. more
Pier Paolo Pasolini
I prophesy the era in which the NEW POWER will use your libertarian words to create a new standardized power, to create a new INQUISITION, to create a new CONFORMISM. And its clerics will be LEFT-WING CLERICS. more
