It's so cool and then it's beaautiful! more
Tom Waits -Rain Dogs
One of his best. more
Counting Crows
they made great light rock with country-folk influences. They are not at all an indie rock band (as is often said), they are exquisitely classic (among other things, Duritz's influences are Dylan, Morrison (Van), and the Boss) more
Tom Waits
I love her blues and experimental pieces; her voice is divine. I definitely appreciate her jazz work less, as I find it quite boring (even though the lyrics remain valuable, of course). She remains a Unique and incomparable artist and figure. more
Premiata Forneria Marconi
Very talented musicians, unfortunately, out of about 20 albums, only a few songs are remembered. So something doesn't add up. more
Elvis Costello
I never understood it. more
Mark Knopfler
virtuoso guitarist and cultured, brilliant singer-songwriter; his solos evoke unique emotions in me. more
Rancid -Rancid
Never been a fan of theirs, quite the opposite. But this album literally kicks ass. No Ska, no Reggae, no concessions to pop, just 22 shards of pure, raw, and noisy Hardcore Punk. And it's done right. It makes me furious like a beast when I think about their other works that are pretty mediocre to me... more
Bruce Springsteen
Extraordinary Artist and Figure. Up to Nebraska (inclusive) undoubtedly one of the greatest. Since born in the usa, he has still produced some masterpieces, but he has essentially become a pop star. more
Edda Dell'Orso
A Lady of music. Her voice has helped to immortalize famous film soundtracks. I consider "Metti Una Sera A Cena," with her vocal contribution, one of the finest pages written by Morricone. She lent her voice, among others, to De André and De Gregori. A figure never too celebrated. To get to know her, I recommend the collection "Al Cinema Con.....Edda Dell'Orso." more

...but you have to tell him he's a cool guy; otherwise, he won't be happy. There you go, now he's happy. more
Danny Boyle
Well, I don't find this guy a great director AT ALL... I'll grant him Trainspotting, which I didn't even like the book (which, mind you, is a good 3 rungs MINIMUM above the film), I'll give a pass to The Millionaire, which is nice enough, but from there to winning 8 Oscars, there's quite a leap... but I certainly can't overlook embarrassing stuff like 28 Days or that piece of crap The Beach, absolutely not. more
Smashing Pumpkins -Siamese Dream
Sweet and violent at the same time, often in the same song. more
Killswitch Engage
But does anyone do a review on disarm the descent? more
Yngwie Malmsteen -Trilogy
The last one I managed to listen to in full and considered with a minimum of seriousness... I remember there was that kind of suite, with the same name, that with some effort could be listened to, a lot of skill involved, but above all, I remember that crazy trash of the video for "You Don't Remember...", with him throwing the guitar in the air... more
Grateful Dead -Anthem Of The Sun
A crazy cut-and-paste studio/live job that resulted in one of the most acid and unclassifiable posters of that '68 season. "Alligator" is already a masterpiece, with its very Zappa-like use of the kazoo, before the final feedback from Garcia totally annihilates you. more
Swans
"Children of God" is one of the greatest albums of all time. more
Amaranthe
A pointless group with a high level of tamarraggine, yet The Nexus has one of the most successful choruses in today's metal music. more
Born of Osiris
Boring as hell, with their completely out-of-place intros and outros, repetitive drumming, pointless piano parts, dissonant guitar solos... more
