Rust in Peace is the only true masterpiece by Megadeth. An incredibly technical album with exceptional songwriting, filled with never-banal virtuosities (excellent performance by all band members, by the way) accompanied by constantly aggressive rhythms, just as the band had already accustomed us to in previous works. It can be said that Dave has finally managed to reach the level that the much-envied Metallica had achieved with the famous Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets. more
