In the beginning with the Dogo Gang and until 13 years ago it was bearable, much like don Ax (!) his early solo stuff up to "Vecchia Scuola." His swan song was Sabbie Mobili, just for the record. Now stylistically you can't tell him apart from Inoki (known thanks to my ex-brother-in-law) or from the worst, populist Fibra, and as an aggravating factor, he calls himself Hip hop King...but come on f f f fan-Crew-Lo, you and those who download your "songs" (for those who actually have your records in flesh and blood and are satisfied with them, I can only say these "four" little words: Make Clamorously Hyper-Sorrow). Rating 1.5 rounded down. more
To me, this seems like the Third Cousin Conventual of Domenico Bini. On all fronts! But I won't give him "1 point and that's it" because, firstly, he managed to extract a good, hearty laugh from my jugular knot during the overall crappiest years of my existence, and secondly, because he has always kept himself away from that farce that has (over time) become the concert on May 1st. more

Someone who writes a song like "Aida" doesn't deserve 5 stars? But have you ever listened to it, have you ever caught all the textual references? Or part 2, that is "Scusa Mary"? For me, one of the truest, most original, and courageous Italian artists, often underestimated because he is very popular among young people and marketed as a minstrel of commercial parties. more

Can a Brazilian housewife record an album, just because she knows a little English, that becomes a milestone in the history of music? The answer is yes. Unmissable. more

When this album was released, I was just a child, but there must be something in the music that leaves an indelible imprint on each of us. If I have developed such open musical tastes for multiethnic sounds, I owe it primarily to this record. Essential. more
I have read and heard people refer to him as "the Italian Sting." Sure, why not. more

One of the most beautiful and important films of the 1940s and of cinema as a whole, a work that was discussed many years ago by Umberto Eco, who described its plot as something that transcended the idea of film itself and became legend. Strangely, no one has reviewed it on Debaser yet, so I'll take care of that. more
Curtis Mayfield and Isaac Hayes were the main architects of the music that defined Blaxploitation. A Funk punch to the gut of America in the '70s. You can't miss it. more
