Death -Leprosy
Just over a year is what it takes Chuck to follow up on the debut "Scream Bloody Gore"; the musical coordinates remain the same on this album, which contains eight tracks for a total duration approaching forty minutes. Violence, raw execution speed, with the crazy voice of the leader that reinforces and amplifies everything; and it is the endless title track that opens a work brimming with primal youth rage: Death Metal at its best. A cornerstone of the genre. more
The Clash -Live at Shea Stadium
The rock contained in this album is beautifully rich and powerful; some might not forgive them for knowing how to play, Topper Headon is missing and there's a bit of roughness from punk, but in my opinion, it remains a blast. more
Joe Jackson -Night & Day
An already extraordinary concept-pop idea on its own. If you then check with your ear HOW it was made... yes, this was also called Pop. And they also called Joe a "creator," but he was and remains a Mind. more

King Crimson
When you hear the assholes around talking about rock, they always bring up the same stuff: Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd (post-Barrett), Queen, AC/DC... then you mention King Crimson and they confuse them with a fast-food chain. But fuck off! more
Aphex Twin
One of the most interesting proposals of electronic music and modern music in general. more
Gorillaz
very good! their freestyler is fantastic but not just that... more

My Dying Bride
Five stars, and more, even just for the somber name chosen by the English band; a long career, almost always honored by good if not excellent albums...MATER TENEBRARUM... more
Rancore e Dj Myke
These two are pure dynamite; the best of today's Italian rap. more
Entombed -Left Hand Path
The debut of the Swedish band, with a lineup at the time just beyond adolescence. An album that is a fiery burst of immense destructive violence, with a Death/Crushing sound that will never be replicated by Entombed. It is the lengthy title track that opens the journey to the darkest, blackest, most disturbing hell, immediately followed by the blisteringly fast "Drowned," where the lesson of the masters Slayer is pushed to extremes. With Lars's voice being a primitive growl that unsettles... more
Metallica
I loved Metallica up until the "Black Album" (which I still appreciate), but then… neurons, etc.… the band has been dead and buried since 1994. Load and the subsequent works are something repellent. I don't know if they still play, if they’ve released any other crappy albums, but the Metallica I adored when I was 14 were the ones from "Fight Fire with Fire"… pure energy. They wrote the history of metal, like it or not… it’s perhaps one of the biggest musical disappointments I've dealt with. more

Caravan -In The Land Of Grey And Pink
In the land of gray and pink where only the boy scouts stop to think... and then leave you Nine Feet Underground, a 20-minute masterpiece. WOW. more
Camel -Breathless
Echoes is a small masterpiece; reaching the end after the first three tracks can be a bit tiring, but listening to the first ones is a delight every time. more
Camel -Nude
Damn, how beautiful are "City Life" and "Drafted"! 1981, a high-level Progressive Rock album, some tracks from this album remind me of Gabriel's Genesis. Magnificent Camel. more
Laghetto
"I Laghetto are an avant-garde artistic collective that was founded in the 1920s, which for a moment included Antongiulio Bragaglia and Jean Epstein. They have been together since the fourth-grade field trip, for a variety of reasons: for convenience, for social prestige, to boast downtown with friends like “this is my bassist,” for reasons of vassalage, and for reasons currently under analysis by a team of twelve psychiatrists..." more
Grateful Dead -Grateful Dead (Skull & Roses)
The best live performance of the band in a country/rock/blues version, year 1971, featuring songs from the recent American tour, in the dates of New York and San Francisco. The band showcases all its immense qualities in live playing, cohesive, tight, brilliant. Numerous covers, including a magnificent rendition of "Me & Bobby McGee," a stunning piece by Kris Kristofferson, and "Not Fade Away," a great classic by Buddy Holly. more
