For all the followers of the Ultra Brutal Gueddo666 Fan Club (which are 0, but oh well), here I am with another review.

Deeds Of Flesh are one of the most important and underrated Brutal bands in the genre. Indeed, even though they are one of the most representative bands, they have never been talked about, unfairly leaving them in the shadows. What I'm about to review for you is their second full length "Inbreeding The Anthrophagi."

The album in question is a dark and sick work, at times devastating and brutal, at times reflective and twisted. The technique of our three musicians is truly of the highest level, the riffs are incredibly fast and intricate, occupying the entire guitar fretboard. The bass, although doing an excellent job of accompaniment, doesn't find solo spaces on this album. The drums demonstrate not only great technique but also a considerable amount of creativity and musical taste. In fact, it doesn't just grind blast beats like a crazed jackhammer, but seasons everything with countless breaks using all the parts of the drum kit. As for the vocals, the singer/guitarist combines a very low and dark growl with shrill and filthy screams, the tempo changes are countless and make this album very varied, as far as vocals and guitars are concerned, you will never find a riff that repeats slowly, fast, heavy, scratchy, etc... etc...

The lyrics recreate the typical rotten atmospheres of brutal but in a different way, less direct and "vulgar," less focused on disgusting the listener (in my case, the reader). The songs don't last more than 4 and a half minutes, except for the first song End Of All, which lasts 1:21. The last song, Gradually Melted, was also present on the first EP (aptly named 'Gradually Melted'). I believe there is another particularity in Deeds Of Flesh, and that is always adding some different elements to the sound, while always maintaining their unmistakable style (even though so far the only album I have listened to and analyzed thoroughly is this one).

To make it short, this is a great album from a band worthy of the Brutal Death podium, a true reality of the genre.
