"Father, why have you forsaken me?"

In 2006 I wanted to evolve metal; I dreamed of a world of gentleman metalheads, endowed with a critical sense and, in one of the jacket pockets, a shred of dignity. In 2007 my dream was wavering, but I managed not to lose heart. In my attempt to make converts, I abolished the critical sense from my dream and came up with the slogan "Thank goodness for Devourment." Devourment have an ex-convict among them; perhaps the PDL leaders listen to Devourment.

In 2008 I tried to lower taxes, but my dream miserably failed and indeed we went back to voting. The last time I tried to infiltrate a metal congress, I had to put on a baseball cap not to be discovered, but as soon as I started making a bit of humor, they immediately caught me. In less than ten seconds, I became a poser.

While questioning why Jon Zig was liked in 2000 and not in 2008 (even after he never changed his style), I learned an incredible piece of news. I was tuned into the secret sequences of Radio Brutality666 (from which I was banned the last time I had something to say about a Disavowed riff) when I heard the following phrase, "ZZZZZZZZZZZ FRRRRR Hello everyone FRRRRZ brutal comrades, ZZZ the new FRZZZZZZZZZZ Decrepit Birth album is out: it kicks ass FRRRRR."

Decrepit Birth are cool, I already knew that; like true birds of prey, they released only one record in 2004 "And Time Begins" after which they became cool. At that point, even as a metalhead, I plunged into a series of reflections that had nothing to do with Devourment; I thought that to become a true metalhead I would at least have to understand the causes of a band's greatness. When I was explained that some bands are born cool and that a true metalhead does not ask these questions, my faith in Devourment wavered; then I remembered all the bands like Devourment that suck and the sky cleared. Now I know that Devourment and Decrepit Birth were born cool and their coolness is inalienable.

PREMISE

Decrepit Birth are cool.

Decrepit Birth kick ass.

Decrepit Birth kick ass a lot.

Decrepit Birth are cool because they kick ass.

Decrepit Birth kick ass because they are cool.

Decrepit Birth kick ass therefore they are cool.

Decrepit Birth are cool in fact they kick ass.

Devourment also kick ass, but they are less technical.

If you want technique listen to Decrepit Birth, if you want vertebra-breaking stuff listen to Devourment.

Devourment are very derived from Hardcore Punk, in fact they do the same genre as Dying Fetus.

Dying Fetus have nothing to do with Devourment but yes.

If you want to be able to listen to these bands you must at least wear an Origin t-shirt; not the Element one because they are too sterile and technical.

But at least you must have long hair, short but with a cap or no hair (if you argue about the syntax of this sentence you're a poser).

When Decrepit Birth were born, Brutal had already been all invented: with a sensational stroke of genius Decrepit Birth managed to make any Brutal record and sell it as a sensational innovation. From that day on, Decrepit Birth became a sensational band. One day, the same thing will happen in Italy; some politician will promise Italians to nationalize the national health system or maybe reduce the working hours to eight hours daily. Sensationally they will win the elections.

DEATH OF DECREPIT BIRTH "Promo 2006"

When Decrepit Birth died, technical Brutal had already been invented, but so had slam. With a sensational stroke of genius, metalheads said that the golden days of Decrepit Birth were over and that compared to the new stuff circulating (Slam) they had become wusses. In reality it was all an attempt to make "And Time Begins" a cult record.

Decrepit Birth in 2006 are no longer the ones from 2004; they no longer kick ass.

Decrepit Birth in 2004 were quite different from those of 2006 because they kicked ass and now they don't.

Decrepit Birth in 2004 were the same as Disgorge and Deeds Of Flesh in fact they kicked ass: now that they are no longer they are no longer cool.

Decrepit birth have softened; blame the Metalcore.

Slam instead is cool because it kicks ass.

Decrepit Birth have lost power because they've become melodic in fact they no longer kick ass.

What a sad end Decrepit Birth met; they don't do slam and are no longer like Disgorge and Deeds Of Flesh so they are no longer cool.

RESURRECTION OF DECREPIT BIRTH "Diminishing Between Worlds" 2008

In 2008 Slam met a sad end; Decrepit Birth and Origin killed it and they did well. Devourment were not killed because they have an attitude and also they don't do slam and are similar to Dying Fetus (who, however, play different music). Slam has no attitude, in fact for two years there were idiots overrating it. Now the true Metal is back and freedom reigns supreme.

Decrepit Birth from 2008 are no longer barbarians in fact they are more technical and melodic.

Decrepit Birth have an attitude, unlike those who play slam.

If you say they've become boring, it means you don't understand anything about technique: take Origin as an example!

I bought Decrepit Birth's record trying to evolve myself and drink beer in sips instead of chugging: a metalhead saw me and in less than ten seconds I became a Poser.

Studying the history book, I thought that maybe Nixon was also a metalhead; he sure kicked ass, back in those years whoever played Slam still had an attitude.
