Deconstruction is the post–Jane’s Addiction project led by Eric Avery and Dave Navarro with drummer Mike Murphy. Reviews praise the 1994 self-titled album’s ambitious alternative/psychedelic blend, Avery’s spoken-word vocals, and Navarro’s expansive guitar work. Highlights include L.A. Song, Big Sur, Iris, Get At 'Em, and Fire in the Hole. The project remained studio-bound, never toured, and is regarded as a cult one-off.
