Much has been written about this album in Italy and abroad.

And even though four years have passed since its release, I continue to read wonderful things about the eight tracks that Deca has recorded on it. "Simbionte" is certainly not a work for all tastes, but it has the magical gift of a formal balance that few albums have. First of all, because it only lasts about half an hour - which is the right length for this type of sounds - and also because it has an extraordinary level of mental involvement.

It has often been said that Deca is a sound alchemist and that he composes mental soundtracks: nothing could be truer. His ability to transform sounds makes his music fascinating and unsettling, with atmospheres that directly touch the subconscious and stimulate the dreamlike imagination. In "Simbionte", voices and ambient noises as well as traditional instruments like the piano have been processed into a complex texture that seems to come from another planet. In tracks like "Geminaut" or "Obscure Epidemy", you emotionally perceive something different from everything people normally listen to on a record. This is music that transcends the normal spirit of composition, light-years away from any song or suite. Even when some rhythmic or orchestral part peeks through, you can feel a mysterious universe pulsating.

It's a pity that this CD is extremely difficult to find and that collectors have raided the few copies still in circulation at astronomical prices.
