German thrash metal band formed in Düsseldorf in the mid-1980s, known for Riders of Doom, Raging Steel, Deception Ignored and Life Beyond; lineup and label troubles shaped their career.

Formed around 1984–1985 in Düsseldorf (initially called Samhain). Early releases include Riders of Doom (also released as Satan's Gift), Raging Steel and the divisive Deception Ignored. Signed to Noise Records for earlier albums; Life Beyond was released for WVR in 1992. Lineup changes included the departure of Thomas Priebe and the recruitment of Uwe Osterlehner. The band broke up after the early 1990s.

Two reviews on DeBaser discuss Deathrow's evolution from raw debut to experimental middle period and a later return. Critics praise technical ambition and moments of brilliance while noting unevenness and label problems. Recommended for fans of 1980s German thrash willing to dig for rewards.
