THE REVIEW

Death metal... progressive.. this album is definitely the most beautiful and complex of Death. Riffs ingeniously composed by the great Shuldiner... the technique of the four is absolutely not lacking, but above all, the melody is truly wonderful... the guitar solos are structured in a complex way and Shuldiner's voice is worthy of death metal... the bass and drums rhythm section is literally terrifying!!! Gene Hoglan plays the drums in a fabulous way with deadly timing changes. Moving on to the bass (fretless) played by the great Steve Di Giorgio who, as usual, plays lines completely out of the ordinary with very complex passages... especially at the end of the track (The Philosopher) starting with a stunning passage and with a fabulous intertwining of notes.

A completely must-have album for all fans of technical death metal... amazing!!!

The best compositions, the best lyrics, the best musicians, the best mediation between classic and experimental... the best work of Death.

I've never heard such a realistic and raw take on the crap that is human hypocrisy.
