Rating: The 35 Minute Blitz, that is 35 songs in 35 minutes (34 and 25 seconds to be precise) of pure and uncontaminated breakneck hardcore punk. And here the review could end, but instead, I'll tell you that the culprits of this sonic attack are the Teutonic Dean Dirg, led by the mustachioed singer Doph, who looks like he came straight out of an early '70s Italian cop movie (you know the classic henchman of the villain, the one destined to get punched by the Maurizio Merli of the moment just a few minutes into the film?). The CD collects all the material released at the time of publication (2005), namely two 7” and two LPs “Dean Dirg” and “The Last Kids On The Block”, plus, in mp3 format, the 10” “9 Refreshing Ways To Say Fuck Off” and the self-titled demo.
The Germans shoot 35 shrieked shards of violent and lightning-fast punk rock seventies-derived, mixed with the early Californian hardcore , Circle Jerks above all; to cite more recent bands, they recall the early New Bomb Turks in a hyper-speed hardcore version, to give you an idea, think of "Destroy Oh Boy" played at 78 rpm!!!
In short, if you like old school hardcore punk without compromises and without metal, post, pop, emo, screamo contaminations and the likes, this is the band for you. I assure you, in recent years there have been very few bands of this caliber, and I really felt their absence.
