Dead Moon was a Portland-based garage rock band formed by Fred and Toody Cole in the mid-1980s, known for raw, DIY recordings and a heavy 1960s garage influence. The band's 2006 compilation Echoes Of The Past served as an epitaph; they disbanded after its release.

Core members included Fred Cole (vocals/guitar) and Toody Cole (bass/vocals); drummer Andrew Loomis was part of the classic lineup. The band is noted for its DIY approach and influence on later alternative acts. Fred Cole died in 2017.
