The Postman Syndrome, authors of the spectacular Terraforming, rise from their own ashes without a guitarist and under the name Day Without Dawn, the day without dawn. And who needs light when there is music so good to hear?
Let's start with the main and only flaw of this EP. It is freaking short. Too short. Incredibly short.
And there’s another problem. The five songs of the EP fit together so well that they flow like beer when you're drunk, and you reach the last second of the last song screaming at the top of your lungs "MOREEEE" (which happened to me).

Now, on to the music. Compared to Terraforming, the sound has evolved towards much more personal stylistic directions. If we use the horrid method of "a cross between...," these DwD are midway between Mars Volta and Kayo Dot. They possess the best characteristics of the former, blend them with the post/avantgarde flair of the latter, and add that touch of theirs that you can never quite put your finger on, their secret ingredient, so to speak.

The spectacular Inquisition, and if I tell you it's truly spectacular, trust me (if you’re my fan, you've noticed I rarely mention songs in a review :P). But the other songs are no less.
If you haven't caught on, be careful with this EP. It risks draining your soul, because, as it happens to me now, you'll be waiting with bated breath for these guys to produce an album. A nice long, massive one, rich in alternations and contrasts, counterpoints, phrasing, screams, and the entire spectacular sound universe that is the Day Without Dawn.
