It's almost a mystery how David Bisbal is still unknown in Italy. The almost 28-year-old artist native of Almeria, Spain, in his first five years of career, has indeed received numerous accolades both in his homeland and in Latin America and the United States.
The Andalusian singer, once characteristic for his thick blonde hair which he recently shortened, made his debut in the music world in 2002, following his success in the Spanish show Operación Triunfo, releasing his first album, 'Corazón Latino', which sold more than 1,700,000 copies worldwide. After two years he replicated the success with 'Bulería' which was purchased by more than 1,300,000 people and with the tour Todo por ustedes which took him to the stages of over 60 locations in the American continent.
A few months ago David presented his third work, 'Premonición', an album more pop compared to the previous works, in which airs of rock and flamenco are condensed. A more mature Bisbal, therefore, who had the opportunity to cooperate in the realization of this album with five international-level producers and with two illustrious guitarists, such as Tomatito and Vicente Amigo.
David Bisbal collaborated in writing 7 of the 12 song lyrics on this album, but those, in my opinion, most interesting are Quién Me Iba A Decir and Silencio, written by Colombian Kike Santander who has collaborated in the past even with artists of the caliber of Gloria Estefan and Carlos Santana: tracks with an engaging rhythm accompanied by sentimental lyrics, a characteristic of Latin-style songs.
'Premonición' is an album I recommend listening to for all those who wish to broaden their musical culture, adding the name of David Bisbal to their record collection, a rising star in Latin American music.
