Born September 17, 1956. Co-founded Aardvark-Vanaheim. Cerebus ran 1977–2004 for 300 issues (~6,000 pages).

Dave Sim's Cerebus the Aardvark is presented as a radical, experimental long-form comic (1977–2004) that blends parody, literature, and graphic innovation. The series runs 300 issues (~6,000 pages) and was self-published via Aardvark-Vanaheim. Readers praise its ambition, cultural depth, and influence, but note the later volumes' difficult positions and uneven readability. Recommended for seasoned readers of literary, experimental comics.

For:Readers of experimental and literary comics; comic historians; mature readers comfortable with challenging, controversial work.

In the distant December 1977, an unusual comic appeared on the North American scene, destined to radically disrupt the classic canons of this expressive medium.
