Canadian television writer and producer; creator of the series The Good Doctor and House.

Creator and showrunner of the television series The Good Doctor.

A single DeBaser review (first three episodes) offers a mixed take on The Good Doctor: notes production in Vancouver, soundtrack credit, casting and the portrayal of a protagonist with Savant/autistic traits. Overall reception: middling (3/5).

For:Viewers interested in medical dramas, portrayals of autism/Savant syndrome, and TV casting/soundtrack notes.

American medical drama (but with production based in Vancouver) directed by David "Dave" Shore, with a soundtrack by Daniel "Dan" Romer, consisting of 18 episodes spread over 6 summer evening appointments, tells the story of a young man with Savant syndrome, a type of syndrome classifiable as Autistic, namely Shawn Murphy, who manages to become a professional surgeon excelling in university studies in the nursing field, and whose subjects he often tends to explain important fundamentals to various department colleagues (even if at somewhat inopportune moments), arousing general compassion not quite empathetically, except for the understanding Dr. Claire Browne, played by Antonia Thomas (same surname as the recent Tour de France winner, but she is Afro-British and quite a sight for any single observer),
