Last February 14th, the musical work of the Italian-Cuban string duo, Confidence, was released in all stores and on all digital platforms.

Dario Chiazzolino - electric and classical guitar

Dany Noel - bass

The Italian guitarist Dario Chiazzolino, a renowned guitar phenomenon praised by critics since his debut, meets the Cuban bassist Dany Noel, known for his collaboration with drummer Horacio "el negro" Hernandez.

Both virtuosos of their instrument, they have masterfully succeeded in producing a music-rich work: an album with a capital "A" for an absolutely creative artistic union.

Their collaboration began in 2010 with the Spanish production of the album Proposition: today, it becomes a true artistic marriage.

Thanks to strong sensitivity and great command of the instrument, Dario Chiazzolino and Dany Noel bring together a list of original songs with a strong lyrical and poetic component. The only cover is the song You've got a friend by James Taylor.

What emerges when listening to the tracklist is certainly a very strong melodic sense from both. Chiazzolino is capable of weaving engaging and always surprising threads during his solos. Noel has a solid and sparkling bass style typical of someone born and raised in Cuba.

An admirable work by musicians who have important collaborations behind them in both the jazz and pop music scene.

Acqua fresca, a joyful and rhythmic track, is the number one track on the album. What better way to start the journey of listening to this fine record. An explosion of taste and energy!

The theme of the track, fast, tight, and decidedly Afro-styled, bursts forth and perfectly defines the two artistic personalities, so marked and recognizable by two skillfully balanced sounds.

The repertoire intertwines through ballads, romantic songs, and Latin jazz atmospheres, all brought into focus by two brilliant artists.

Confidence is undoubtedly a masterpiece.
