The life of a pop star is tough, especially if your sister does the same job and is more popular than you. Dannii Minogue knows this well; after her success in 2003, she is desperately trying to stay afloat, but for various reasons, she can't manage it. After releasing the singles "You won't forget about me" with the Italian DJ duo Power Flower (a single that did quite well in Europe and Italy) and "perfection" with Soulseekerz (this single did less well), everything was ready to release the new album of original songs. Unfortunately, in 2005, Kylie Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer, so Dannii left the studio to help and support her sick sister. In 2006, "so under pressure" was released as the lead single from a new greatest hits collection, "The hits & beyond" (which replaced the incomplete original album).
"The hits & beyond" is, however, a beautiful experiment by All around the world records to unite past, present, and future in a single compilation. Many hits from the past ("love & kisses", "this is it", "all I wanna do", "who do you love now?", "put the needle on it", "I begin to wonder", etc.) along with new songs, 5 unreleased tracks, and obviously the single "so under pressure" dedicated to Kylie's illness.
Although the best-of album didn't do very well, Dannii Minogue's image has improved significantly. Dannii is a mature woman, queen of style, queen of clubs and discotheques.
Obviously, it's essential to highlight the fact that she was of great help to her sister Kylie in her time of need. Well done
