Her first and only true tour was the "Unleashed tour" 1998 with about twenty (sold-out) dates between England and Australia. Then silence and a few rare performances in European clubs and discos.
This year, however, Dannii Minogue surprises everyone, goes on tour with Take That (a pop group that has been talked about since the '90s), and prepares a one-hour show to open the six dates for the English lads in Australia (dates in Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane).
Dannii's show, who for the first time in her 27-year career performs in stadiums and arenas, lasts only 50 minutes but it's enough time to convey the idea that there are always two sides to Minogue.
The show starts with "put the needle on it" 2002, an anthem, a hymn, that crowned her queen of worldwide dance, then moves to the old '90s track "disremembrance". There's room for some new pieces, the new singles "Holding on" 2016 and "Galaxy" 2017 (written and produced by Sia).
"All I wanna do" from 1997 takes us back to the singer's only previous tour in a more acoustic and profound version this time.
"I begin to wonder" which made her number 1 in 2003 like her sister Kylie is mixed with "Stupid girl", a cover song.
Always accompanied by two backup singers and her band, Dannii Minogue concludes her show with three singles from the beginning of her career in a medley that makes two generations dance: "baby love 1991 / love & kissess 1990 / this is it 1993" conclude this show that opens the Take That dates but for the first time allows Dannii Minogue to sing in arenas and large stadiums.
The voice does not fail, she is perfect, radiant, and the outfits for this "live 2017" are truly beautiful and make the visual spectacle even more special.
We hope that Take That might be kind enough to include the diva Dannii Minogue's show in the DVD.
