THE REVIEW

Anyone who thought Dannii Minogue's career had stopped last year (with the single Summer of Love 2015) was mistaken. The sister of Kylie Minogue, more in shape than ever, returned more in shape and more brilliant than ever on Friday, June 10, 2016, in a very important live performance, opening the Australian date of Boy George and his band Culture Club's tour.

The same thing happened in 1998 when the younger Minogue sister opened (that time in London) the Culture Club show; however, this time, the emotion was great because Dannii had not performed for 18 long years. Anticipated by the previous evening in a club in Australia (Gh hotel) to ease the tension a bit, Dannii Minogue's show was breathtaking.

Very tight-fitting clothes, sexy, hot, very provocative, and aggressive; "dirty hands I demand" recites a lyric from one of her songs from a few years ago.

Dannii Minogue, leaving behind the role of TV presenter like X Factor or Australia's Got Talent, and taking a break from her role as a mom, returned in a live show that would make even older sister Kylie Minogue envious. A show thanks to her dancers, but also her band and orchestra that has accompanied her since the early 90s (the year her debut album was released).

An hour and a half of performance (because it was the opening of Boy George's concert) in which Dannii sang songs ranging from the 90s to the 2000s to our recent years in which she disappeared to dedicate herself to TV and talent shows, becoming an undisputed queen. Fortunately, recently Sia (the singer-songwriter of the moment) decided to gift Dannii Minogue a new song and so: Holding On made its debut on stage just the other night.

There was no shortage of dance hits such as Love & Kisses 1990, This Is It 1993, I Begin to Wonder 2003, and many others, revisited in modern, chill out, and rock versions.

In short, there's reason to believe that on June 10 at the arena in Australia, Dannii Minogue's fans began to think it was time for a new album from this great, talented, and enchanting singer who sometimes disappears only to return more brilliant than ever. Who knows how big sister Kylie reacted to this?
