Dannii Minogue, Kylie Minogue's three-year-younger sister, became a music producer in 2016 and started producing her own tracks without working with record companies and labels anymore.
In 2017, 10 years after her last project, she released a highly anticipated comeback single entitled "Holding on," which brings to mind "put the needle on it" from 2002 with dance pop sounds, urban beats, electro atmospheres, and some rap parts. A very fresh and danceable single, different from many of Dannii Minogue's club hits; however, she didn't make a video for this new unreleased track.
However, the song was performed at some of the singer's live shows in 2016 and was very well received. This is the first original song after 10 long years of silence from the younger of the world's pop Australian sisters. The interest in the song quickly grew, and a lyric video was made.
"Holding on" was released in August 2017 in all digital music stores.
