The second studio album by Dannii Minogue is titled "Get into you" and was released two years after the previous one, in 1993. Dannii learned something fundamental, her voice is her best instrument and here she decides to bring it out, among various pop pieces, but also among deeper songs and refined r&b tracks. Dannii's image changes, her look is renewed, she starts to understand that Kylie is better but she is also more beautiful.
The album opens with a song that has become famous now, "This is it", a pop-dance track, one of the singles from the album, which makes you dance and jump. "Love on every corner" is instead slower like "Until we meet again"; "Tonight's temptation" seeks a more pop and light sound leading to the first ballad "Be careful". "Show you the way to go" released as a single is a cover of an old Michael Jackson track, while "Lucky tonight" reminds that not only Kylie can be lucky but also the younger sister. "This is the way" is definitely the most catchy single of the project with Dannii singing very well. "Get into you" is the most rock of the album. "If you really" seeks a classy r&b while "Wish you'd stop wishing" and "Kiss and make up" close the album with two pop & upbeat melodies.
Despite the project being a flop, it is worth highlighting (and I believe the critics have noticed it) how Dannii knows how to update herself and push towards new directions every time. This second album is a pearl of pop, a preview of what will become Dannii Minogue, queen of club music. "Get into you" is provocative, liberating, rich (much more than the debut album) and special. I recommend it to everyone.
