When I hear this track by Dannii Minogue, I start jumping all around; it energizes me, makes me happy, drives me crazy. "Everlasting Night," imagine, was released back in 1999 when Dannii, in search of a new record deal, was invited to the Australian gay pride as the official host (at the 1999 Mardi Gras), and she wrote this fascinating song precisely for that occasion.

The song was so successful that it became a standalone single that year and was a hit especially in Australia.

The sound of "Everlasting Night" is very danceable, pop-dance with electro and 90s vibes; it has something very trashy that makes it very easy. I describe it as a "fun song" like "Your Disco Needs You" by her sister Kylie or "Strong Enough" by Cher or even "Holiday" by Madonna.

In the video, Dannii returns to her original hair color, dark brown, after a period of being blonde. In the video, she enters a club and starts dancing, going wild and having fun dancing with lesbians and gays: Dannii, like Kylie, is considered one of the greatest gay icons of recent years.

In any case, the original version of the track was already ready, can you believe it, 4 years earlier (1995) and was included in the album: "1995 Sessions" in 2009. However, the original version was much less danceable and melodically less beautiful than this one.

I recommend it to everyone; Dannii's voice here is splendid.

Enjoy listening
