What a challenge it is to be a superstar and to know how to change musical and artistic direction every time, especially if your older sister is named Kylie Minogue.
It's 1997, and Dannii Minogue, after a few years of silence, decides to dye her hair blonde (while her sister Kylie, on the contrary, had oddly gone dark at the end of the 90s) and completely change her sound, moving from the R&B of her first two albums to more electro dance music, collaborating with DJs and club personalities.
Said and done: the result is "All I Wanna Do," the first single from her "Girl" album, her third studio record of the same year. "All I Wanna Do" is an almost techno song, typically club-like from the late 90s, and thanks to this single, Kylie’s sister becomes the queen of the floor.
This single, accompanied by a very spicy video, reaches the number one position in dance charts across Europe and globally, paving the way for Dannii as the queen of the clubs; many DJs asked to remix the track, which also became an excellent pop single, ranking high in the charts of that period when for the first time in many years, it was Dannii who triumphed over her older sister's singles.
However, this single was the most successful one of the 1997 project, which unfortunately did not yield the expected successes.
