"People hate, because love is scary"

When I was asked to review "Boomerang," I was slightly hesitant. Rarely have I listened to and evaluated an album with hip hop musicality. From my experience of television rap, I always expect a catastrophic, violent, and revolutionary attitude from this musical genre. With a smile, I had to change my mind. I found myself in front of a small work of art in rhyme.

A package of fresh, mellifluous, yet sharp and captivating flavors. A tasty candy capable of giving me significant emotions. Love, vanished dreams, the bitterness of youth, and the carefree times of the past. But also the reminder that everything comes back. For better or worse, every action we take, every achievement, every defeat, every tear, and every smile is a part of us. When I think of "Boomerang," I think of this. A clever game, capable of reflecting in our gestures and transforming into a suitcase full of our essence.

"Boomerang," the first solo album by Daniel Mendoza, belongs to a rare branch of Italian hip hop: a mature, serious, and carefully designed work by a man who can fully claim the importance of rap and its historical-social origins. Fifteen well-executed tracks crowned by a decent audio quality. Various collaborations, even reaching abroad. It's not surprising that the presentation single of this album "L'Italia non é" has exceeded 30,000 views on YouTube. "Boomerang" is an album I recommend to everyone. Genre enthusiasts and not. It is definitely a valid alternative to the tunz tunz of discos and the stagnation of pop compositions
