Very often, I poop. Most of the time, I'm paid to do it because I'm physically at the office. It was during one of these small thefts from the company that this film came to my mind. Even if it has nothing to do with it.
Nightcrawler is a film about the character, above all. The figure that Jake Gyllenhaal portrays (in my opinion, in an absolutely dignified manner) is the center of the story, seeing him create a business affair on breaking news journalism, on the race for the first jackal to arrive on cruel news, on what has always made people talk, on the media's exasperation and speculation in case of incidents-massacres-thefts-murders. And indeed, around all this, a nice tension is created.
Sure, poor guy, a half-petty thief like that (mind you, pretty sly and quite ambitious) can't do everything alone. And the interview with the little servant he decides to take with him, as well as the working relationship he establishes with him, add value to everything.
Unlike those who narrate and live the story, there is no risk: no drop in pace, no lapses in style, no excessive predictability. Simply a blend of very dark and murky colors, a ton of scenes that pumped me up, and a damn good direction. And I believe more.
Pour moi, un filmone.
