Here I am again with you..! I hope you're happy to hear from me again on these pages of DeBaser just as I am pleased to introduce you to many great bands that deserve your attention:

Today I will talk to you about a band that defined a genre of its own: murdercore. Murdercore is a genre that goes hand in hand with musical ferocity, which matches the lyrical intensity. In fact, the themes discussed in this CD are all about the much-wanted and elusive SERIAL KILLERS.

The name of the group is a clear homage to the deeds of the most famous and nightmare-inducing serial killer in all of human history. I'm talking about him, you've guessed it: the monster of Milwaukee. Scary.. yes.. but I need to talk about the musical aspect of the proposal of this Canadian group: perhaps even more terrifying than the cannibalistic deeds of the famous maniac.

Goreview of the compilation:

The CD starts with furious blast beats, continues with furious blast beats, and ends with furious blast beats, seventy-five, I say seventy-five minutes for a total of 62 songs all composed of furious blast beats.. and when I say all, it’s really true.. I would call it a fusion of terrorcore/murdercore/grindcore with splatter/gore nuances, take this definition with a grain of salt because you might find other definitions or more enticing epithets.

Now let me talk about the vocals.. as I was saying.. the vocals are really terrible... the drummer and bassist alternate on vocals.. one has a very raspy and inhuman voice and the other is more cavernous and monotonous (the typical toilet flush growl, yes).. the first is much more present at the beginning of the songs, whereas when talking about more macabre things concerning mutilations, the second voice comes into play, which is more ulcerous and heavy to withstand.. so in the dirtiest tracks from their first and only album ("dahmerized" of 1997, you should check out the cover, very well conceived and certainly effective) we find ourselves facing rancid songs with unequivocal titles that represent the history of the most famous American serial killers: "John Wayne Gacy" (nicknamed The Killer Klown), "Albert Hamilton Fish" (the vampire of Brooklyn), "David Berkovitz" (the 44 caliber killer), "Edward Gein" (the butcher of Plainfield)... and many others.. in short, I urge you to go and find something from this band to taste a little bit of this sumptuous meal based on human blood.

Unfortunately, it will be difficult for you to find the various CDs and mini CDs (around 16 splits in just 6 years) that make up this extensive and captivating collection of the Dahmer (legally it has been practically impossible for me to find the original CDs from which this compilation is derived, even "dahmerized" their only album is untraceable..!), so my advice is this: to purchase directly this "Studio sessions" in order to have all their audio material released from 1995 to 2001 gathered in a single CD with the history and deeds of this truly cult and very valid band.. I urge you to give a listen to this stuff because I think it might appeal to lovers of metal and extreme grind..!

Now I bid you farewell... listen, listen, listen to these Dahmer... and you'll see that I haven’t tricked you!
