THE REVIEW

Here is the first real album from this group originating from Detroit: the D12.

This group owes its fame to being composed of one of the most famous rappers in history: Eminem. His presence on this record is very important because it raises the overall quality of the product, which would otherwise be repetitive and very monotonous.

The album was released in 2001, driven by singles like "Purple Pills" and "Fight Music". Surely, it is a recommended album for fans of Eminem and Hip Hop in general. The productions are excellent with Eminem producing many tracks, including the splendid base of "Pistol Pistol" and "Devil's Night", the title track. This work is also entrusted to Dr. Dre, the producer par excellence, who produces 5 masterpieces, including "Fight Music", in my opinion, the best. The other 5 rappers do very well, but as mentioned above, their flow becomes repetitive after a few listens, which limits its longevity and listening. The only one that perhaps never tires is Eminem himself. The lyrics are very violent and offensive, hence the correct parental advisory label...

Overall this album is excellent. It contains all the necessary ingredients to form a truly powerful blend: the D-12. They are here, whether you like them or not. Recommended songs: "Fight Music", "Pistol Pistol", and "Revelation", absolutely the best.
