The reviews praise Cutting Crew’s pop-rock/AOR craft, especially the debut Broadcast and the follow-up The Scattering. Nick Van Eede’s evocative vocals and Kevin MacMichael’s tasteful guitar work are repeatedly highlighted. Add to Favourites is seen as polished and varied, if a bit too Americanized. The band’s British roots with Canadian links and an 80s sheen frame the whole story.
