THE REVIEW

A Voodoo ritual reenactment was just what I needed to get back to writing, in some way.

I don’t know how many of you might be familiar with the name William Bennett, the person behind the project Cut Hands, which I have the pleasure of introducing to you.
He was one of the minds (the main one, I dare say) behind that giant called Whitehouse, one of the foremost representatives of Power Electronics, active for about 30 years starting from 1980.
In short, a very controversial, striking, and provocative entity, if you do some research.

That said, a few years after closing the Whitehouse chapter, Bennett musically docked at other ports, still partially unexplored.

These led to islands whose land yields genetically modified psychotropic products.
It is Industrial Techno, laden with that pungent spice of Power Electronics, meeting the obsessive and hypnotic percussion of Haitian Voodoo tradition.

It is a distorted celebration that induces possession of body and mind.
It will travel through the depths of your most unknown self and bring you to nausea, just to free you.

The rituals are modernized now.
We continue to dance, possessed, around the fire... but with audio systems and computers in the woods.
