THE REVIEW

Imagine yourself in a dusty and abandoned 19th-century theater, sitting alone in the front row; on stage, a quirky band, the illegitimate child of 90s postcore/emo, is tuning their instruments to begin the "show".
They start playing... from the very first note, their music sketches "a concept," "a feeling" in your mind that you'll hardly forget...

The result will be brilliant and wonderful: unconventional musical structures tinged with an interesting artistic attitude, an eerie organ chases after the other instruments throughout the work, which play now subdued, now energetic, and the strings help complete the group's fascinating, catchy, and meditative sound, of Cursive, who released this concept in 2003...

Oh yes, I almost forgot, this is a concept album, the lyrics perfectly merge with the music; the main theme is sexuality and the relationships between the various strange characters that are presented in the different songs... thus, in that decadent theater, figures after figures, melodies upon melodies, impressions upon impressions appear...

And when the curtain falls, when the show produced by your creative thoughts comes to an end, when it's all over... you'll leave that theater, satisfied, exhausted, and with a desire to return...
