Current 93 is an English experimental music group formed and led by David Tibet (active since 1982). HÖH is the stage name of Icelandic musician and composer Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson. They collaborated on the 1990 album Island.

Island (1990) is a collaboration between Current 93 and Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson (HÖH). The album blends electronics and acoustic elements and features Björk on the opening track "Falling". The release includes a revisited version of "Fields Of Rape" and follows the Crowleymass EP collaboration between Tibet and HÖH.

The single review praises Island (1990), a collaboration between Current 93 and Icelandic musician HÖH, as an intense, magical record blending electronics, acoustic elements and apocalyptic-folk sensibilities. Björk contributes guest vocals on the opener "Falling". Standout tracks cited include "The Dream Of A Shadow Of Smoke", "Passing Horse" and "To Blackened Earth".

For:Fans of apocalyptic folk, neofolk and experimental electronic music; listeners interested in esoteric and literary-influenced compositions.

Island is an intense, magical work, full of that charm which only certain arcane cultural references can offer.
