THE REVIEW

Directly from the state of Jack Daniel's for your hip hop heads comes a phenomenal (to say the least) album by this fabulous duo made up of Kno (the only one from Kentucky), Dacon, and Sos (present only in this work, the second one).

In short, one of the most original hip hop flavors comes from Tennessee Massachusetts and believe me, their name says it all... the cunninlinguists... are here to make words, lyrics, metrics, and flow enjoyable... and consequently your ears... when every form of rap might seem banal to you, they manage to overturn any canon, any measure, any temporal unit... how far can lyrical evolution and metric research go... what can be the new frontier of the flow to be emitted!? Here's the answer... this album is the answer!

Everything is extremely sophisticated and refined; every single sound, every rhyme scheme is so wild that you'll rewind your player multiple times to listen again to what's been said... indeed, to make sure that what you heard is real and not a figment of a dream. A record to discover, full of surprises, 16 fantastic tracks of which I feel compelled to highlight some jewels of inestimable value—number 09 "Season" with Masta Ace... I just have to say that this track pleases not only the sense of hearing but also that of smell... it feels like inhaling the best scents of spring... it's pointless to assess the MCs' technique or the groove's sophistication; to call it delicious would be an understatement for number 11 "Falling Down"... but can such rhythms really exist... listen to what happens after 1 minute and 40 seconds... I hope to pique your curiosity and push you to at least listen to this song... it's truly worth it!

Number 15... "dying nation"... a hyper-revolutionary text. Any MC would sell their soul for a beat like this... but only a few (maybe just them) are able to ride such an enraged bull! I've highlighted these because they're my three favorites... although choosing was difficult because this isn't an album with just a couple of hits... this album IS a hit.

For lovers of rap and never-before-heard sounds... an album to have and to consume!
