The Profile

Culture Club are a British new wave band formed in London in 1981, fronted by singer Boy George. They achieved international success in the early 1980s with hits including "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" and "Karma Chameleon".

Original members include Boy George (lead vocals), Roy Hay, Mikey Craig and Jon Moss. Colour by Numbers (1983) contains the international hit "Karma Chameleon".

Hank Monk's DeBaser review treats Colour By Numbers with amused distance: catchy, colourful and occasionally embarrassing. The record is praised for upbeat hooks while ballads like "Victims" show another side. Overall a guarded, nostalgic appreciation (3/5).
