Finally, I return to discuss a dish that's rich and suits my tastes. Sure, it's not Nasum or Merzbow, but the energy and noise are certainly not lacking here!
The Crunch was a Roman noise rock band that, in the tumultuous '90s, released only two albums. But trust me, those were tough records!
Produced by former Indigesti member Rudy Medea, the Crunch display all their anger made of sounds reminiscent of early Nirvana, Jesus Lizard, and Helmet. A decent kick in the gut that, on the debut, is delivered with some naivety.
In the second "Worth Mentioning", however, the approach is more mature but no less abrasive.
In this specific case, the Jesus Lizard seem to be the most important influence. Particularly those from "Goat".
Sick, schizoid, twisted, and angry songs are served to us with the smile of a serial killer.
Try to tackle compositions like the earthquake-inducing "Melting Point," the rhythmic "Without Mouth," or the heartbreaking "Hypospring", and then we'll talk about it again!
Come on guys, have a nice reunion! I swear I'll become your groupie.
