The Profile

American folk-rock supergroup formed in 1968 by David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash, renowned for intricate three-part harmonies, era-defining songs and landmark performances including Woodstock.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1968 by David Crosby (The Byrds), Stephen Stills (Buffalo Springfield) and Graham Nash (The Hollies); performed at Woodstock in 1969; inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a group in 1997; occasionally augmented by Neil Young as CSNY.

Reviews celebrate CSN’s hallmark harmonies and songwriting across the 1969 debut, CSN (1977) and Daylight Again (1982). Two 2010 Italian shows earn raves for setlists mixing classics and inspired covers. One dissent: Live It Up (1990) draws sharp criticism for glossy production. Overall tone is admiring, nostalgic and alive to the trio’s stage presence and catalog.
