The music we once loved and felt the energy of is in crisis, and listening to the charge this retro album conveys brings to mind why in an obvious way.

Why don't the pseudo-judges of the current talent shows let the aspiring artist hear an album like this before sending them home? At least they would learn something.

They would learn that Music with a capital "M" is not made with 4 rhetorical words lined up, with 2 electronic rhythms; they would learn that music can arise from simple structures if they hide meaningful messages, melodies, and an almost combative energy inside.

All this fully emerges in this Palermo-based band, not surprisingly defined as legendary in the Italian Garage scene.

I personally recommend buying this album to each of you, to rediscover the ancient taste; it's an album that, when played in the car, will keep you wide awake and accompany you anywhere.

For my personal judgment, I mention "Dangerous Mind," a track boasting an exhilarating rhythmic drive, very American 70's, and "Wasted Life," a song where a retro-innovative rhythmic drive creates a purely magical blend of bass, guitars, and keyboards.

I don't know the band well, but from how they play, I imagine at least the guitarist and the drummer come from real grassroots, that of the 60's, and I hope to hear more of their work soon.

"Compared to the past, where generally the working class bore the brunt, it is now clearer than ever that we are also faced with a weakened and impoverished bourgeois class."

"The sounds proposed on the record are the usual ones, very garage and punk, now expertly handled by the band, with the addition of some well-executed pop brackets."

The guitars are always present, pure even when distorted, harmonious and full, and the drums are truly played at top levels.

Some tracks seem recorded in a garage, hitting their emulation target; others are too clean, seeming a bit fake.
