Clarity is a fundamental virtue, I hate scream-o! I can’t take it. It's stronger than me.
I like slightly raspy shouts that don’t turn into animalistic howls; it's okay to be rough around the edges, but keep some composure.
But women who scream have something men can't provide: Couch Slut are unbearable, filthy to the core and with a member as straight as North Korean missile trajectories.
Sludge metal and hefty noise, plenty of hardcore avant-garde. The first things that come to mind are Melvins, Jesus Lizard, Unsane, Oxbow. But perhaps I'd be lying if I didn’t also hear Big Black; for their contemporary equivalent, I might mention Perfect Pussy, but we're talking about two nearly opposite ways of conceiving noise.
Massive, pachydermic moments of violent headbanging, mournful epicness, and ragged feedback.
