Of all the bands signed to La Tempesta, the Romagnoli Cosmetic are certainly not the most well-known to the public, but they are probably among the most interesting acts Enrico Molteni's label has within its roster.

It's clear that Bart's band, with "Conquiste," knows exactly what they want to play and which time arc to focus on (they are nineties baby), but they do it with remarkable dedication and importantly, there are some little indie earworms here (opener and "Scisma" foremost). But to be honest, there's much more: there's that emotional upheaval of the senses that, in certain moods, only a few Italian albums have been able to evoke in me. I then think of Verdena (even though the highway exit taken by the Romagnoli is called shoegaze), those raw and psychedelic ones from "Solo un grande sasso," and fortunately, there’s also the Italian language which, believe me, in this case, is anything but a burden!

It is immediately understood from the wonderful "Lenta conquista," which cannot leave you indifferent with its mantra repeated to spasm to convince yourself that “la cura si sente già, la cura si sente già, la cura si sente, lo so che mi sta giovando anno dopo anno...” and that this will be anything but an anonymous and passable album, the piece is so intrinsically full of adrenaline ready to explode after just a few seconds.

But there aren't only rattling guitars; there’s also old-time postcard romance ("Lo spavento") that comes out especially in the second part of the album.
Also noteworthy is the guest appearance of Costanza Delle Rose from Be Forest (freshly out with “Earthbeat”) in two pieces "Sitar" and "La fine del giorno" and the mini-suite noise-psychedelic "Colonne d'errore" for the more refined palates.

The next album, coming out in the next few months, could confirm them in the Italian indie band circle that matters. For now, just enthusiastic applause. And the green-white-red rock party can only cash in on the result and start again confidently trying to erode support from the storyteller party and aim for future premiership.
